Dr. Sara Frances Reid and Dr. Muri Howle are trained School Psychologists. Together they have over 20 years of experience in South Carolina public schools.
Dr. Sara Frances Reid, Ed.D., Ed.S., LPES, is a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist and with over a decade of experience supporting students, families, and schools across South Carolina. She specializes in comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, special education compliance, and program consultation, helping teams better understand each student’s learning profile and support needs.
 
 Dr. Reid earned her Doctor of Education and Bachelor’s Degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina, along with a Masters and Specialist Degrees in School Psychology from Winthrop University. Her professional background includes roles as a School Psychologist, Special Education Compliance Monitor and Supervisor, Special Education Director, and Special Education Specialist, where she has led teams in assessment, IEP development, and program improvement, along with leading professional development.
 
 In addition to her professional work, Dr. Reid values family life and enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. 
Dr. Muri Howle received her Bachelor’s degree in 2011 from Winthrop University. From there, she continued her education at Kent State University, where she earned a Master’s degree in 2012 and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology in 2014. She went on to complete her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Clemson University in May 2020.
Dr. Howle began practicing as a School Psychologist in South Carolina public schools in July 2015. During her practice in public education, Dr. Howle has worked with students ages 3 to 21 and has collaborated with numerous agencies including BabyNet, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs in South Carolina. In this time, Dr. Howle has specialized in preschool services and evaluations for students with disabilities, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks, and special education law. As such, she has served on committees for the South Carolina Department of Education’s Special Education Department to create proposals for electronic IEP database systems and updates to the special education eligibility criteria.
In addition to professional experience working with individuals with special needs, Dr. Howle is the mother of a child with special needs. Her daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 4 years old, has had a Speech Language Impairment since age 2.5, and has several medical diagnoses that impact her functioning as well. Experiences with her daughter and navigating the medical and educational realms has given Dr. Howle a unique understanding of the challenges parents face and empowers her to be a strong parent advocate and informational resource for others.
